Misdemeanors are any crimes which can
lead to incarceration for up to
one year. They are less serious than felonies; however, it is important
to take a misdemeanor charge very seriously. Employers are conducting
background checks more than ever on their employees and candidates for
employment. Even a misdemeanor will show up on your record when a
potential employer looks which can keep you from getting the job you
want or even pursuing the career of your choice.

misdemeanors in Alabama which carry different ranges of punishment and
